A national scholarship student at the Royal University of Phnom Penh, Kakada earned a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work in 2014. In the following year, he completed Bachelor of Education in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. Currently, an Open Society Foundations scholar, he pursues Master of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis, USA, with a concentration in Older Adults and Aging Societies and a specialization in Social Work Research. He believes issues facing older adults have been overlooked by developing countries, while the world population is aging in a rapid rate in those countries. He aims to pursue career in teaching and research in the field of social work and aging.
