Sothearith Im, Ph.D.

Dr. Sothearith Im served as an international broadcaster at Voice of America's Khmer Service from 2008 to 2014. He received Gold Medal Award from Broadcasting Board of Governors for his 16-part reports on natural resources mismanagement in the world and Cambodia. He also received Voice America’s Superior Accomplishment Awards. Prior to joining VOA, he was Founding Director of Royal University of Phnom Penh’s Department of Media and Communication, which is the first Academic Department offering four-year media program in Cambodian history. Dr. Im Sothearith has written hundreds of news articles and produced dozens of TV programs and packages. He hosts talk-shows and conducts TV and radio interviews.
